These mums will grow about two feet tall. For shorter plants and more flowers, simply “pinch” them each year! Pinching is snapping off the tip of the shoots (1-2″ off the ends). You can do this once or twice – about a month apart. Don’t pinch after July 1, just let the mums keep growing! They will form flower buds and bloom in late summer and early fall.
Perennial mums can be easily divided in early spring. Plant them in another place in your yard or share them with a friend!
