Consultation

What is a consultation?  It is a time when we can help you solve your landscape problems, give you new ideas, or answer your questions. As part of the landscape design process, we will physically visit the site, talk with you, and potentially measure the area to be designed. Here are some situations when a consultation is helpful:

• You have an aging landscape.  We can give you advice on pruning, whether a plant has outlived its beauty/usefulness, and what new plants you might want to consider adding.
• You suspect you have insect or disease problems on a plant, or you just don’t know why your landscape plant doesn’t look right.
• You want to landscape a new area, or you want to remove all the plants in an area and start over.
• You have an area that’s difficult to maintain – slope or wet area for example, and need suggestions on what to plant there.
• You have an area where you need specific plant suggestions. ex.  dry shade or very hot/dry/sandy.
• You don’t know what kind of plants you have on your property.

Our consultation charge is $50 per hour while we are at your location.  A modest travel charge will apply for locations that are 20 minutes or more from our nursery.
